Toboggan
Niederhorn
This 3 km long toboggan run (medium-difficulty) is guaranteed to be fun. Enjoy the unique view over Lake Thun and the snow-covered peaks of the Bernese Oberland during the 30-minute run. Every Friday and Saturday evening during the winter season: Sledging under the stars.
Ramslauenen-Kiental
The toboggan run from Ramslauenen down to Kiental is 7 km long and suitable for all levels. Toboggan rental possible. Every Saturday enjoy “night sledging”.
Wiriehorn
From the Nüegg mountain station, a 5 km long toboggan run leads down through a fir forest into the valley. Every Friday enjoy “night sledging”.
Jungfrau Region
From spectacular toboggan runs to the longest toboggan run in the world…here all toboggan fans get their money’s worth….
Sparenmoos-Zweisimmen
A panoramic toboggan run in the Obensimmental.
1st section: Sparenmoos – Heimchueweid: this 3.5 km long easy route is well suited for families
2nd section: Heimchueweid – Zweisimmen: this 2.5 km long intermediate route leads through the forest.
Night sledging until Heimchueweid 19.00 – 22.00 o’clock
Oeschinen Lake
A fast descent for experienced tobogganers. Race down the 3.5 km, steep mountain slope.

Artificial ice rink Thun
From mid-September to mid-March, the municipal artificial ice rink, Grabengut Thun, offers fun and relaxation for young and old alike on two ice rinks.
Lake Oeschinen
Probably one of the most impressive and largest natural ice rinks in Switzerland! Oeschinensee offers indescribable scenery – with its steep mountain slopes, snow-covered landscapes, and the frozen lake…Ice skating is only possible under certain conditions.
Cross-Country Skiing
Heiligenschwendi
The cross-country ski trail in the Bodenweide is ideal for all cross-country skiers who enjoy the great oudoors and don’t want to travel far for their tour…Only suitable for classic style.
Schwanden Werenäbnit
The 3 km long trail is located on the sunny terrace near the Schwanden ski lift. For classic and skating.
Justistal
The cross-country ski trails lead through the unique landscape of the Justistal with 4 cross-country ski trails and 23 km of groomed tracks for classic and skating. The road from Sigriswil to Grön will be cleared. Snow chains are an advantage in winter road conditions.
Aeschi
Around 30 km of classic cross-country ski trails and 30 km of skating trails from Aeschi via Aeschiried to the Suldtal are available. 4 km night trails in Aeschiried, Monday to Friday, between 18.00 – 21.00.
Diemtigtal
On the 22 kilometer cross-country skiing network between Zwischenflüh and Schwenden there are several starting points which invite you to go cross-country skiing.
Winter Hiking
Schwanden-Heiligenschwendi
The winter hiking trail leads from Schwanden Säge to the REHA Klinik in Heiligenschwendi. The panorama is magnificent.
Justistal
The winter hiking trail in the Justistal valley starts Grön and runs along the cross-country ski trail. Combine your hike with a cheese fondue in the great outdoors. Reservation Fondue Backpack.
Niederhorn
The combination of snow-covered mountains and the view over Lake Thun makes winter hiking on the Niederhorn unique…Various winter hiking trails with hiking times between 1 and 3 hours are available.
Aeschi
Around 12 km of well-prepared winter hiking trails with magnificent views are waiting for you…
Diemtigtal
Thirty kilometers of trails lead through the diverse scenery of the Diemtigtal. You will enjoy the snow-covered forests, quiet alpine pastures and cozy villages.
Snowshoeing
Schwanden
The two snowshoe trails Dünzenegg and Rüeggers start not far from the bus stop Schwanden/Säge. The tour offers a magnificent view of Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps.
Beatenberg
Away from the winter hiking trails you can wander deeper into the snow-covered landscape. In Beatenberg there are two signposted snowshoe trails.
Niederhorn
Experience nature in peace and quiet. The Vorsass middle station is the starting point for two varied hikes. Every Friday and Saturday evening during the winter season guided snowshoe tours with mulled wine and fondue.
Aeschi
On snowshoes you can discover the magical winter landscape of Aeschi. Aeschi has prepared two signed routes for you to enjoy.
Diemtigtal
Three different snowshoe trails take you through snow-covered alpine pastures and forests. Let yourself be enchanted by the winter landscape…
Stockhorn
Discover the snow-covered Stockhorn area with snowshoes. On the Stockhorn there are three signposted snowshoe trails with different levels of difficulty.
Special winter experiences
Christmas trail Heiligenschwendi
Take a walk and let yourself be enchanted by the Christmas story. The 6 stations each show a scene from the Christmas story.
Christmas trail Aeschi
By candlelight in the heart of winter, the Christmas story is told in a series of 6 pictures. The pictures are spread along a circular path and are located next to small barns.
Winter cinema in the castle courtyard
Films are now shown in winter in the former carriage house. The small winter cinema in the castle courtyard is the most unique cinema in the region.
Ice Walk Oeschinensee
Experience a unique winter hike on the frozen Oeschinensee. Two trails with differing lengths lead over the thick ice. Only possible if the ice is thick enough.
Ice Fishing Oeschinensee
For the fishermen among us, here we have to dress warmly. Only something for the hard-boiled.
Igloo Stockhorn
Enjoy a drink and a fine fondue in the cozy igloo village on Hinterstockensee. The igloo village is open from December.
